Overall, I like VirusBarrier’s range of scan options and the fact that subsequent scans are much faster. So, is Intego worth the money? Definitely! There are a few things that could be improved, such as having one single interface, better instructions in a few places, and a VPN that is included as part of its main package. Now, it’s not perfect, but Intego has done a lot of good things with its two macOS malware protection engines - VirusBarrier and NetBarrier - both of which scored exceptionally well during my testing. It’s not easy to find a good Mac antivirus, but after testing virtually all of the macOS antiviruses out there, I am confident that Intego is the best antivirus software for Macs available on the market.
